Dipperdredger
As mentioned we are the world leader in designing and building of dipperdredgers. We constructed over 100 dipperdredgers in 30 years time. The recent major improvement in the design of the dipperdredger is the development of the worlds first marine excavator. We call it the Backacter.

Dipperdredger range
• BA1100 on a S-type pontoon
• BA900 on a S-Type pontoon
• BA800 on a D-type pontoon
• BA700 on a D-Type pontoon
• BA600 on a C-type pontoon
The dipperdredgers can be equiped with a range of high tech and state of the art sub systems. We work with several classifications, like BV, LLoyd's, CCS, ABS.
Some major characteristics:
- Assisted propulsion through hydraulicaly driven thrusters
- Collapsible spuds (option)
- Wide range of deck cranes. Like the DSF 600, 200 and 100 lifter
- CO2 fire extinguishing installation for the engine-room
- Biological Sewage plant installation
- Bilge system throughout the ship
- Observation house to operate the propulsion, spudtiliting, etc
- Accommodation is always custom made. Air conditioned when required.
- Dredging Instrumentation
- PLC controlled dredge
- Automatic draught system
Optional systems for the Excavator and Dredge
Dipmate system
In order to control and monitor the dredging underwater, a unique visualization system is designed. Via sensors and equipment dimensions a graphical presentation of the excavator is projected to the operator. A top and side view is shown. Via the draught sensor the system knows how deep the excavator is dredging. Special profiles can be entered in the system. This system can be configured with several options, like:
- List and tilt correction of the dredge
- Positioning system via DGPS
- Semi automatic profile depth control
- Gyro interface
- etcetera
Survey system
The above described Dipmate system can be linked to Survey systems, thus feeding the digging directly to the survey system.
Data logging, remote assistance and diagnostics.
All important data from the PLC control system can be logged on a server. Sensor data like pressures and temperatures, alarms, etcetera. Via this stored or real-time data we can run diagnostics and provide remote assistance.
